Below are some general guidelines to follow regarding the maintainance of your vehicle:

  • Check your air filter, its in a box towards the front of the engine.
  • Check the coolant/antifreeze, make sure it is at the proper level of 50/50 water and antifreeze. CAUTION: Make sure the engine is cool if you take off the radiator cap.
  • Visually inspect the engine for loose or corroded cables, leaking or cracked hoses, frayed or glazed belts.
  • Keep engine fluids full such as transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, even windshield washer fluid. Do not overfill your reservoirs.
  • Keep your oil changes up to date. Replace the filter as well.
  • Make sure tires are kept at the recommended pressure.
  • Check tires for blisters, nails, cuts, and uneven wear, have them rotated regularly.
  • Check the Shock absorbers or struts for leaks or signs of wear.
  • Be sure all lights are working and clean.
  • Try to keep your gas tank full for less chance of evaporation, freezing in the winter.
  • Visually inspect underneath the car, broken or loose exhaust clamps, leaking or seeping of various pans including oil and transmission pans.
  • Wash your vehicle regularly, your car will go faster. (We're kidding but you'll enjoy the car more)
  • Engine should idle smooth and not hesitate when you give it gas. If you feel something is wrong with your vehicle, have it checked out by a trained Certified Technician.
